Meet Odie! Odie is an easy-going, snuggly pup that is just waiting for his forever family to find him and scoop him right up! He is super friendly with both dogs and people and loves to greet with a wiggle butt. He is completely potty trained and does great in the crate while his foster moms are away at school and work. He can also be crated overnight and snuggles in when he knows it is time to go to bed. Besides letting out a few barks at loud noises, he is pretty quiet so he could do well in an apartment (he currently resides in one).

Odie is a great walk buddy and follows his human's lead on the leash. We usually go on three to four short walks during the day. Even though he is from the South, the snow has not bothered him! Besides walks, he loves to play with squeakers and puzzle toys. He is a low-medium energy dog, so he does not necessarily need long walks or play sessions to tire him out. Depending on your lifestyle, he is happy to play the day away or just snuggle up by your side. He definitely adjusts to the energy in the home.

Odie has taste tested a few non-toy items but is easily redirected. He also needs some reminders that he does not need to alert his humans every time he sees another person out on walks. Though, he is very eager to please his people and very food motivated, so training him and working through these issues has been a breeze. He also knows "sit" and "shake" already.

Odie is the sweetest pup. He is quite content lounging by his humans, where ever they may be. He loves snuggles and pets. He has been a super respectful house guest with the resident dog and respects his boundaries. I think he would love another pup to play with but would also do fine as an only dog with enough attention from his humans or other forms of socialization with other dogs. He has not been fully cat tested but does not seem to have a high prey drive when it comes to smaller critters. He also has not been kid-tested. We suspect he would do great with kids over the age of 5 due to his gentle nature. However, he can be a bit unaware of the size of his body, so he may not be best for a house with smaller children. Overall, Odie has been the best foster pup and will make a wonderful addition to any family!
