Meet Heidi!
Heidi is the sweetest, most gentle girl who is ready to find a loving forever home! She may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she will be your most loyal and loving companion. With her soft, soulful eyes and love for belly rubs, she will melt your heart in no time!
Since arriving in Wisconsin from Texas, Heidi has made so much progress in building her confidence. She is crate-trained and does great being crated for a few hours at a time—she even considers it her safe space and will often go in on her own to relax. She is also learning to enjoy car rides; while they used to make her nervous, she now hops in on her own and quietly watches the world go by. She is potty trained; once she settles in and gets into a routine, she does all of her business outside like a pro!
Heidi is a polite and quiet girl who rarely barks, making her a great fit for apartment living. She walks well on a leash but can be a little nervous in new places, so she’ll need a patient adopter who can help her continue building confidence on walks. Her daily routine consists of short morning and evening strolls, with a longer midday walk to break up the day. She has a medium energy level and is happy to match the vibe of her home—whether that means playtime with toys or curling up for a cozy nap.
While Heidi isn’t super food-motivated, she is extremely love-motivated! She adores pets, snuggles, and especially belly rubs. She has even learned to wait patiently at the door after walks to have her paws wiped—such a well-mannered girl! She could also be a great running buddy! She hasn’t met cats or kids yet.
Heidi is looking for a home that will give her the patience, love, and gentle encouragement she needs to continue blossoming.
