✅ Super sweet puppy that came in with his brothers after being dumped on a back road.
✅ They were very skinny and looked pitiful but are now looking much better!
Frank is a black mouth cur with beautiful chestnut coloring, large droopy ears and a white tipped tail. He was found by a good samaritan starving and abandoned on a country Texas road with his two brothers. Fosters are given the responsibility to assess each puppy’s personality and behavior and to begin crate training, house training and teach basic commands.
Understandably, Frank is wary of strangers and needed time and space to trust his foster. Once that trust was established, Frank quickly learned basic commands such as sit, leave it, off, wait and crate. He is conquering his fears of going outside in the dark and being crated for longer periods of time, both overnight and when his foster is away from home. He is doing very well with house training.
Frank has a sweet personality and is bright and playful. He is athletic and loves to be outside in a large backyard with his foster brothers, a 60# pit-boxer mix and a tiny black lab puppy. He is gaining confidence to be outside exploring on his own.
Frank is affectionate and loves to snuggle after playtime. He would do best in an active home where he receives lots of play and adventure and, most importantly, lots of praise, positive reinforcement and patience. His foster has seen a great deal of progress with this approach as Frank is sensitive to strict discipline.
Since coming to foster in Wisconsin in late January, Frank has grown several inches and is at a healthy weight.
